About me...

Cristina Stefan - photographer and painter
Montreal's South Shore / Montérégie

I have been drawn to the visual arts since childhood.
In my paintings as much as in my photographs, light and colour play a central role: they bring vibrancy to my creations and help define my personal artistic style.
Over the past several years, photography has taken a growing place in my artistic journey, without setting painting aside.
My artist's eye spots unique images, which I then transpose into my creations — on canvas, in paint, or in digital photography.
All my photographs are taken with my camera, out in the field, then developed by me in Lightroom and Photoshop. Some of my impressionist works are compositions: I layer my own multiple exposures to create the final image. In every case, each source image is one of my photographs, and nothing is generated by artificial intelligence: everything you see passed in front of the lens.
